Madonna University began its journey in the late 1990s through the divine inspiration of Very Rev. Fr. Prof. E.M.P. Edeh, CSSP, OFR, guided by his unwavering dream to create a world-class institution founded on moral integrity and intellectual strength.
In 1999, with the blessing of the Federal Government, Madonna University opened at Okija, becoming the first private Catholic university in West Africa to be fully licensed by the NUC.
Today the university thrives across three campuses: Elele (Rivers State), Okija (Anambra State), and Akpugo (Enugu State), the hub of innovation.
