Founded in 1924 and recognized by decree by the authorities of the Congregation for Catholic Education in 1948 and by Pope Pius XII in 1949, the International Federation of Catholic Universities today counts over 240 affiliated universities on every continent.
This event is organized jointly with Madonna University and will take place on the African continent. This meeting will provide participants with an opportunity to reflect and share their approaches to the future of our universities, as well as to demonstrate the unity of Catholic universities born at the heart of the Church.
This represents a unique opportunity for all our affiliates and especially the ones located in Africa to reflect together on contemporary challenges concerning the Catholic university. The dynamics of this conference are designed to facilitate fruitful and enriching debates between the participants, and it will also be a moment of international reflection, prefiguring the 25th anniversary of the foundation of Madonna University. The celebration of this anniversary will take place on March 20th. During this day, we will have the opportunity to take an active part in this special event with the academic community of Madonna University and to share and exchange with all the colleagues coming from all the continent in a spirit of fraternity which is at the core of our commitment to the church and our communities.
